Radeon RX 6600 XT MSRP is 349 USD, RX 6600 to cost 299 USD

The site received information from its industry sources on AMD Navi 23 desktop gaming cards MSRP. According to the report, RX 6600 XT would cost 349 USD while RX 6600 would be 50 USD cheaper. This information is allegedly a month old and could’ve already changed. Generally, we tend to avoid pricing rumors because they are almost impossible to confirm unless there is already an embargoed information such as slides clearly stating the price. It is also worth reminding that both AMD and NVIDIA have repeatedly changed MSRPs prior to launch on multiple occasions.

The price of the RX 6600 XT is supposedly justified by better raster performance than the 329 USD GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card from NVIDIA, the site alleges. In terms of ray tracing, AMD’s card is not as powerful as NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 Ti card, which has a suggested retail price of 399 USD. Originally, AMD was contemplating a 369 USD price tag for the RX 6600 XT model, but the company did not want customers to be swayed away towards RTX 3060 which features 1.5x more memory (12GB) memory, the report claims.

Obviously, MSRP could just as well be much higher or lower, but in current reality, it will likely be much higher. That is unless the card will be purchased from AMD directly or through launch-participating partners. Two days ago Cowcotland received information from their own source that the retail price of RX 6600 XT is not expected to be lower than 499 EUR (588 USD) in Europe.

Radeon RX 6600 XT and RX 6600 Specifications

Furthermore, the site confirms the most important specifications of both models. The RX 6600 XT is to feature a full Navi 23 GPU with 32 CUs (2048 Stream Processors). It will be offered with an 8GB GDDR6 memory access 128-bit bus. The non-XT model reportedly features 1792 Stream Processors and it is to feature the same memory configuration as the XT model.

AMD is rumored to announce its Radeon RX 6600 series on July 30th with the product launch expected on August 11th
